WWA 2012 Gundog Scurry

The WWA held its Gundog Scurry at Low Warth Wood on Sunday 27th May 2012. The support from the membership & their guests was absolutely fantastic. It was the biggest field of dogs and largest crowd ever seen at a WWA Scurry. 30 dogs took part in the scurry and about 60 people turned up to watch and support. The weather was perfect on the day and ideal for the post scurry BBQ. Gary Lakey with 'Kim' came first. Mick Kay with 'Meg' came second and Mike Addison with 'Dexter' came third. Gary Lakey was a non WWA member. He won the scurry but could not win the WWA trophy which went to Mick Kay. Thomas Bunting won the junior section with 'Merlo'. We thank David Coward and Ian Valentine for hosting and organizing it and the two judges who gave up their time to judge the competiton on the day. A most enjoyable day was had by all who attended. Next Social is the WWA clay shoot in June.
